Kimberly-Clark Corp. has chosen a local contractor to construct a plant expansion.

 

IMOCO announced Tuesday that it had been awarded a large construction contract for the Henderson County plant. The construction project will employ 35-40 total workers, with the vast majority of them living in Henderson County. "We are so appreciative of the long-term relationship that IMOCO and Kimberly Clark have enjoyed," IMOCO Chief Operating Officer Bill Harris said in a news release. "This project alone will employ about 30 Henderson County residents, with an average wage of $24 per hour."

 

IMOCO has done work for the Kimberly Clark plant, as well as others across the nation, for over 30 years. Founded in Henderson County in 1964, IMOCO specializes in industrial construction, maintenance and machinery setup throughout the South.

 

IMOCO has offices in Fletcher and Spartanburg.

IMOCO's Food and Beverage division specializes in construction and sanitary welding for the food, beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical industries.

 

Design and installation of process piping systems unique to the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries are specialties of IMOCO's Food and Beverage division. (October 29, 2015)-Philip Sechler has joined IMOCO, Inc. as their newest project manager. Phillip is an experienced manager with demonstrated expertise in project engineering and managing construction for mechanical facilities, manufacturing plants, telecommunication hubs, large shop buildings, laboratory buildings, bridge components and offshore platforms. He possesses a broad experiential skill set developed through managing a variety of project elements from steel fab and erection to mechanical systems and instrumentation and controls.

(September 29, 2015) Kent Jolly has joined Imoco, Inc as a specialist with 25 years in food grade process piping. He has traveled coast-to-coast working on projects for companies such as Sierra Nevada, Chobani, Yee-Haw Brewing Company, Coca Cola, and Nestle.

 

Jolly’s skills include leading crews, blue-print reading, fitting pipe, and assembling pipe using a variety of assembly methods including soft solder, thread, Victualic couple, TIG weld, MIG weld, Stick weld, and more. He is extremely capable with PVC, copper, carbon, steel and all varieties of stainless steel. A former work colleague stated, “I would say without hesitation that Kent’s skills with tig welding stainless and carbon pipe are the best I’ve ever seen.”
